Tottenham's David Bentley nudges Harry Redknapp with brace against Arsenal

Bentley struck a stunning goal for Tottenham's first-team in only Redknapp's second game in charge in a memorable 4-4 draw at the Emirates Stadium in October. But the £15 million winger has not started a Premier League game siince late January and Redknapp had warned that he had to put players, however high-profile, in the reserves, not as punishment but for match-fitness.  Related ArticlesHuddlestone says play me or I'll leaveLanguage a barrier to PavlyuchenkoTottenham 1West Ham 0Redknapp: I want Roman to stayPremier League actionPhil Brown: Premier League safety wont be affectedAnd Bentley responded with a stunning goal in either half to secure Tottenham's reserve team their fifth win in succession - and second over Arsenal in a week. Redknapp admitted that fielding players in the reserves was difficult, saying; 'That's always a problem now. People don't want to play in the reserves. I don't play people in the reserves to punish them, I never do that. If the reserves are playing up north I don't send them. 'I treat the senior players with respect; I only play them because they need a game. The only way to get fit is to play games and if you're not playing games, even with all the training in the world, you'll be short of match fitness.' Alan Hutton made his fourth appearance after recovering from a broken toe and could be nearing a first-team return, possibly against Newcastle on Sunday. Pascal Chimbonda, Ricardo Rocha, Gilberto, Jamie O'Hara, Gareth Bale and Frazier Campbell also featured at Orient.
