Cristiano Ronaldo threw down the gauntlet to FC Porto as he prepares to return to Portugal on Wednesday for the Champions League quarter-final second leg saying: 'We will win because Manchester United are the better team.'
Porto were impressive as they drew 2-2 at Old Trafford and have never lost at home to an English team in the competition.
But Portugal captain Ronaldo is in a buoyant mood as United continuethe defence of their European crown and said: 'I feel good, I feelconfident, the best games are coming and I'm ready for them.
'When the draw was made I wanted Porto. I think we have a better team than Porto but we have to respect them because they are the best team in Portugal at the moment.
'They have a great coach, some outstanding players but we have to show over the two legs we are better,
'We want to win everything if it's possible. I want to finish the season by winning the Premier League, the FA Cup and the Champions League again.
My team-mates are thinking like me. The players are positive and we believe in ourselves.'
Ronaldo hit back at critics who claim his body language this season is negative.
He said: 'I am happy. I don't have to smile and show my teeth all the time to prove this. What's inside is the most important and I am happy.'
