Tottenham's Tom Huddlestone and Gareth Bale targets for Fulham

Neither player has started a match for Redknapp's side since the club were knocked out of the Uefa Cup six weeks ago, prompting speculation about their futures. Huddlestone was a regular starter when Redknapp took the reigns from Juande Ramos, but he has fallen down the pecking order since Jermaine Jenas returned from injury and Wilson Palacios was signed.  Related ArticlesVilla committed to ValenciaHiddink: Roman wasted at SpursHiddink not after PavlyuchenkoHuddlestone can lead SpursDefoe and Hutton near returnSomething for the WeekendThe 22-year-old last week vented his frustration at losing his place, something Redknapp insists he understands and has told Huddlestone what he needs to do to win it back. "He has the fantastic playing ability like Hoddle, to spray the ball all over the park," Redknapp told the Times . "If he is as good as Glenn he will be a great player as Glenn was fantastic. "I understand his frustration [but] sometimes he has to boss a game more. "But he has to keep getting the ball and sometimes he does not demand the ball enough and he does not take the game by the scruff of the neck. "I said this morning to him, he has to get at people. If they don't give it to him, he has to tell them 'give me the ball, I am a better passer than you. You get it, give it to me and I will deliver the passes'." Bale meanwhile is reportedly struggling with not being handed a specific position. The 19-year-old claims he prefers the left-back position but many think him better suited to a wing back role. Regardless of where he plays, the Times suggest that even if Redknapp wanted to sell him off the club's hierarchy would prevent it from happening. Back in January, Middlesbrough were eager to sign Bale as part of a deal which would have seen Stewart Downing move to White Hart Lane, but Tottenham refused the notion.
