I want Prem football, admits James

David James has admitted he will probably leave Portsmouth and wants to stay in the Premier League, news which will interest West Brom. The veteran keeper is currently preoccupied with events in South Africa. But his contract with the Fratton Park outfit is due to expire in less than a week's time and although there has been talk of it being renewed, James wants to remain in the top flight.Having reclaimed his place in the England starting line-up, the 39-year-old's gut feeling is understandable, although he has no desire to get side-tracked by such talk just now."Of course I want to play on. I want to play Premier League football," he said."But my future is not something I am thinking about at the minute."Baggies boss Roberto Di Matteo is a firm admirer of James and has long been linked with a move for the former Liverpool stopper.Scott Carson is currently Albion's number one but Di Matteo is keen to strengthen his goalkeeping options as he plots the club's survival bid.James, meanwhile, is focused on keeping Germany at bay in Bloemfontein on Sunday.
