The Owls have five points from their last six home matches - victory over Crystal Palace and draws with Birmingham and Swansea, while losing to Barnsley, Reading and league leaders Wolves.
Fresh from a 1-0 win at Norwich, Laws is now looking to finish the season on a high at home.
"We used to be concerned about our away form - we have turned that around," he told The Star.
"Now it's important we follow up our win at Norwich with a good performance and a win against Derby here on Saturday.
"We have every confidence of achieving it. We had had some tough home games recently such as those against promotion-chasing sides, Wolves, Reading and Swansea, but we have deserved more from them than we got."
