Halford would relish Blades switch

Greg Halford has expressed his delight with life at Sheffield United and hinted he could make a permanent move from Sunderland this summer.The 24-year-old defender is on loan at Bramall Lane from Sunderland and has excelled for Kevin Blackwell's side in their late push for automatic promotion.Halford netted the opener from his new forward role as the Blades beat Ipswich 2-0 on Saturday, and he has admitted he may be willing to extend his stay in South Yorkshire."I'm loving every minute of being here, whatever position I play," he told the The Star. "I'm settled. It's impossible to do that in six months but when I came here I knew it was going to be for a year."The thing I want most is promotion. That's the only thing on my mind at the moment."I'm open-minded about the end of the season. Really, it's down to the manager, but nothing has been said."
