Big Sam rebuffs Stoke striker talk

lackburn chief Sam Allardyce has ruled out the possibility of moving for Stoke strikers Tuncay and James Beattie. The Rovers boss is in the market for new strikers, with Jason Roberts and Nikola Kalinic the only recognised first teamers at Allardyce's disposal. With the Potters linked with a move for West Ham striker Carlton Cole, manager Tony Pulis may look to cash in on his two forwards, neither of whom have been able to hold down a first-team spot.Allardyce however denied the rumours linking him with Turkish international Tuncay and Beattie, who began his career at Ewood Park and made four appearances for the club."We have no interest in them at the moment and we haven't made any enquiries," he told The Sentinel."I am surprised to see the stories in that respect, although teams get linked with everyone at this time of year so I suppose I shouldn't be too surprised."
