Sunderland table £6million bid to sign Heiko Westermann
Sunderland have launched a £6million bid for Germany international Heiko Westermann.The Schalke defender should have been in South Africa with the national side for the World Cup but unfortunately breaking a toe in his right foot during a pre-tournament friendly against Hungary.However, that may work in Sunderland's favour as it allows them to begin talks without him attracting further attention from other clubs.
