Berbatov out for two weeks

Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov is set to be sidelined for a fortnight with an ankle injury. The Bulgarian suffered the problem during United's 2-0 defeat at Fulham a fortnight ago.He was forced to withdraw from his country's World Cup qualifiers against Republic of Ireland and Cyprus and will remain out of action for some time.Berbatov will miss Sunday's crucial match against Aston Villa, when Sir Alex Ferguson will also be without the suspended Wayne Rooney, Nemanja Vidic and Paul Scholes. He is also likely to sit out both legs of the UEFA Champions League quarter-final against Porto, as well as next Saturday's trip to Sunderland."It's probably going to be another two weeks," said Ferguson."Hopefully he will be back training with us at the end of next week and he will be okay after that."Ferguson admits he will have no other option but to turn to Carlos Tevez against Villa, even though the Argentine will not return from South America until later on Friday."I think he gets back from Mars about 4pm," joked Ferguson."With Dimitar out and Wayne suspended hopefully Carlos will be okay. That will give us one striker, then we will have to choose another."With the extra day's rest I am relatively confident we can get a fit team out on the pitch."Neville boostFerguson does have Gary Neville available again after the veteran defender appeared for the reserves earlier in the week.Neville has not started for the Red Devils since January because of a groin injury but Ferguson concedes he is tempted to use him against Villa."Gary played for the reserves on Monday and he did very well. He needed the game and that showed in the second half," Ferguson added."We only planned to use him for an hour and that's what it turned out to be."His training performances have been very good on Wednesday and today so he certainly comes into the picture."If he feels strongly about starting on Sunday I will consider it."
