Spurs set to turn back time and renew bid to sign City winger Martin Petrov

Tottenham are reportedly set to renew their efforts to sign Manchester City winger Martin Petrov at the end of the season. The Bulgarian international is close to making a first team return for Mark Hughes' men having spent the majority of the season on the sidelines after sustaining knee ligament damage on international duty in October. But, according to a report in The Sun, Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is desperate to find a solution to his left-side problems and is eyeing a summer move for the 30-year-old who former White Hart Lane manager Martin Jol failed to sign in 2007.
