If Mark Hughes leaves Robinho out of his Manchester City team at Arsenal there is unlikely to be much of an uproar.
The Brazilian has been a flop away from Eastlands but how he responds if he is dropped will be interesting.
So far he has seemed to have had an ambivalent attitude - at best - to the club who paid £34 million for him last summer.
He has looked like a thoroughly selfish player who cares little for the team or their supporters.
So now he faces a big test: will he respond by working harder and coming back stronger?
It is more likely he will spit his dummy out and prove once and for all he is a spoilt star, paving the way for his exit.
And that would be no bad thing.
