Johnson rejects England crisis talk

Glen Johnson has rejected talk that England are already in crisis just one game into their World Cup finals campaign in South Africa. England failed to get off to a winning start on Saturday after being held to a 1-1 draw by the USA in their Group C opener. The result was greeted with a feeling of despondency among the England faithful, but Johnson believes there is no reason to panic for Fabio Capello's side."Fabio would have preferred to win but it wasn't to be," said Johnson. "But it's ridiculous to think we're in crisis."The spirit is still good and the boys will stick together through anything."This game is behind us now. We didn't lose it so now we go into the next one."Johnson, who was one of England's best performers against the United States, was in the wars in the game after suffering a cut lip in a challenge with Clint Dempsey.Liverpool defender Johnson has excused Fulham ace Dempsey of any blame for the injury"I don't think he meant to do it but I got caught by an elbow from Dempsey," said Johnson."There are no stitches. The medical staff told me it will heal on its own. But I don't think my daughter will recognise me."
