The 34-year-old has passed a routine medical with Dynamo and now needs to secure his release from the Clarets before his transfer can proceed.Dynamo chief operating officer Chris Canetti is delighted Akinbiyi has an option to join the club as it ends their off-season search for attacking reinforcements.The former Wolves, Leicester, Crystal Palace, Stoke, Burnley and Sheffield United man could make his Dynamo debut this weekend against DC United if the relevant paperwork is secured in time."Our search for a forward has been very public since the offseason," said Canetti."Finally we have settled on a player who we thing will come here and bring great results. We are very happy to have him join us."He has signed an MLS contract to play with the Dynamo. Once he finalises his buyout with (Burnley) we will be able to file for officially for the international transfer paperwork."Despite being at the back end of his career, Akinbiyi insists he still has at least two more years of football in him."I was looking for a change," he said.
