Aussies to try-out fringe players

Australia midfielder Tim Cahill hinted his side will look to give their second-string players a run-out in their friendly with United States. The Socceroos beat Denmark with a near full-strength team at the same venue on Monday, with only injured duo Harry Kewell and Brett Emerton missing."It's important that as many of us play a part as we can in the USA game because it's not going to be about 11 players in this tournament," Cahill said."Come the back end, there's going to be a few surprises and maybe some youngsters coming through the wings and flying the flag."The USA will be playing their first match since arriving in South Africa and are set to be without first-choice striker Jozy Altidore, who injured an ankle in the week.
