Canaries snap up Gers full-back
Rangers defender Steven Smith is set to join Norwich on a free transfer on July 1 after agreeing a switch to Carrow Road on a two-year deal. The 24-year-old left-back, who made 74 appearances for the Scottish Premier League side, becomes the club's third summer signing following the earlier arrivals of Andrew Crofts and Elliott Ward.Manager Paul Lambert told the club's official website: "I'm delighted. He's come from a massive club in Rangers and he'll fit in well here and I'm looking forward to him joining us."He's a left-back with a terrific engine and he'll be part of a squad that will hopefully do well next season."
