Tom Soares is determined to fight for his place at Stoke City after returning from a loan spell at Charlton Athletic. The midfielder joined Stoke at the end of the summer transfer window from Crystal Palace, but has made just eight appearances for the Premier League club.He has spent the past two months on loan at Championship strugglers Charlton and the 22-year-old is now back at the Britannia Stadium with a point to prove."I'm back and I think I've got a point to prove to myself and a few other people," Soares told the Sentinel.Hungry"I want to be in this team, definitely, and I feel I haven't shown my best yet here at Stoke."I want to prove to people that the reason I came to the club in the first place is because I'm a good player."It was always going to be difficult coming to a big club like Stoke, with the players they've got. Everyone is fighting for a position in the team. It's about whether you want it and are hungry enough to fight for your place."I feel I have what it takes to get in the team, but I know I have to fight to prove that in training and in the reserves."I'd love to get back in this season because I want to be part of a Stoke City team staying in the Premier League."
