Sorensen confident of survival

Stoke keeper Thomas Sorensen has unwavering confidence in the club's ability to beat the drop this season. The Potters have eight games in which to secure their Premier League status, with the battle at the bottom as close as it has been for years.Tony Pulis' side have the luxury of being separated from the relegation zone by a three-point cushion at present, but know that advantage could soon ebb away.Sorensen, though, is confident that Stoke will accumulate enough points during the run-in to ensure that they do not slip back into the Championship at the first time of asking."I don't really think of relegation, hopefully we can stay up." Sorensen told Sporten."If we do stay up, it will be a terrific achievement by the club and for myself."RespectMeanwhile, Sorensen has also spoken of the torrid time he endured at former club Aston Villa.The Denmark international claims he was treated unfairly by Martin O'Neill and insists his time spent at Villa Park was the worst of his career."It was not a nice situation to end up in and I will never understand why he (O'Neill) was not fair enough to let me go to one of the clubs who wanted me when he didn't want to field me himself," said Sorensen."Or at least he could have shown a bit of human respect. It's the worst time I have experienced in my career."
