Turks in talks with Prem target Boyd

Rangers hitman Kris Boyd has held talks with Turkish outfit Kayserispor over a possible move, according to manager Shota Arveladze. Arveladze - a former Gers striker - hopes his personal phone calls will persuade the prolific Scotsman to make the move across the continent to join his side.Boyd is out of contract this summer and the likes of Birmingham, Newcastle, Blackburn, Wolves, Ankaragucu and Bursaspor are all believed to be keen on securing the 26-year-old's services. But Kayserispor appear to be ahead of their rivals in the chase for his signature, with Arveladze planning to meet the SPL's all-time record goalscorer face-to-face.The Georgian told the Sunday Mail: "I have had conversations with Kris and we will talk some more."I'm hopeful he will decide to come here but I know he has other options."I really want him to join me. I've made this a priority and hope the personal touch I've added to the move will work in my favour."Some coaches prefer to let the club president do the talking but I think the coach should always speak to the player and outline plans."
