Windass back with Tigers

Dean Windass marked his return to Hull City by scoring for the reserves after his loan at Oldham Athletic was officially cancelled. The veteran striker had joined the Latics back in January on a deal which was due to last until the end of the season.He scored once in 11 League One appearances for Oldham, but had found himself on the substitutes' bench of late.The recent departure of John Sheridan as manager prompted the two clubs to discuss Windass' return to the KC Stadium.Windass is unable to play in the Premier League for the Tigers, but is understood to be helping out with coaching and can also feature for the reserves.The 39-year-old turned out for the reserves on Tuesday night and marked his first appearance back in a City shirt with a goal against Bolton Wanderers.Oldham, who have brought Joe Royle back to the club as manager, have now confirmed that Windass' loan has been officially cut short.
