Fernandez might hang up his boots

Veteran Spanish striker David Fernandez is considering quitting football following his release from Kilmarnock. Fernandez, who has spent 10 years playing in Scotland since joining Airdrie in 2000, is set to return home to ponder his future. The 34-year-old said in the Scottish Sun: "I am going home on June 1 and I will think about my future. It might be that I will quit football."I don't have any big plans at the moment so I will think about what the best thing is for my family."I will listen to anyone who calls me but right now I am packing to go back to Spain. That is the only thing on my mind right now."I have been away from home for 10 years but now I am going to speak to family and friends to see what is the best thing for me. I just want to enjoy my holiday as things have been busy. Then I'll make what will be a big decision."
