Hart hoping to win number one jersey

Manchester City's Joe Hart insists he will be doing everything in his power to win England's number one jersey in South Africa this summer. The three-way fight to start in the World Cup finals remains in the balance, with Hart vying with David James and Rob Green to get the nod.Green started Monday's 3-1 friendly win over Mexico, with Hart winning only his second cap as a second-half substitute at Wembley.Hart, who spent the season on loan with Birmingham, never thought he would be in the England frame, but is not settling for being a squad player. The 23-year-old feels he has learned a lot from his rivals and that has given him even more confidence that he can shine this summer."I always thought I'd just be a fan this summer, I never thought I'd be involved in anything like this," explained Hart."But now I'll just do everything I can to catch the manager's eye and get a few more caps."Greeny and Jamo have great experience over me and I'm looking to learn off that."They are good people to be around. I felt confident against Mexico because playing with great players gives you that confidence."Things are very intense under Mr Capello. Everything revolves around winning and that's where he shines as a great manager."
