Liam: I've heard nothing from Wolves

Stoke midfielder Liam Lawrence insists he has heard nothing from Wolves despite admitting he would happily move to Molineux this summer. Lawrence is looking for a fresh start this summer after falling out of favour at Stoke, but he retains a healthy relationship with Tony Pulis and would gladly return to pre-season training at the club if a move away does not materialise.Lawrence said: "I have said my intentions and what I think is going to happen and, if Tony is true to his word, which he always is, I am sure there will be no problems with me going on and furthering myself."We are good friends and we have got a lot of respect for each other. I have done a lot for him and he's done a lot for me in many respects."I have got so much respect for him, if he says this and says that, I do what he says."Lawrence admitted in a Sunday newspaper interview that he would be happy to work under his former Sunderland manager Mick McCarthy again, but the 28-year-old has been surprised to the response to his comments. He said: "Someone asked me that the other day and all I said was I would definitely work with Mick again."All of a sudden, I am putting transfer requests in and I want to go to Wolves."I have not heard anything from Wolves, that's where I am at at the minute. Unless someone says to me, 'Right, you are off there', then I will be going back to Stoke."
