Hull in race against time to agree a deal to slash players wages before Friday

Hull are keen to push through a deal with the PFA to slash the club's first team wages beforethe salaries have to be paid on Friday. The cash-strapped Tigers need to find more than £3m to cover May's wage packets, but talks havebeen ongoing aimed at reducing the amount by around £1m. Senior PFA executive Richard Jobson said: 'We have a verbal agreement with the club and once we have received confirmation in writing we can put that to players, he said. 'We had a very constructive meeting with the club last week and our advisors are happy with the reassurances given. 'We will recommend to the players they accept the deal.
