Kevin is a fan of Cherries marksman Pitman

EX-boss Kevin Bond has tipped Brett Pitman to continue his scoring streak next season. The Tottenham Hotspur assistant boss highlighted the performances of Pitman and Shwan Jalal as key factors behind the club's fairytale promotion. Both are well known to Bond as they were members of his squad during his time in the Dean Court hotseat. Talented striker Pitman was a major player for Eddie Howe last term and his 28 goals in all competitions earned him the Daily Echo/Micky Cave supporters' player-of-the-year award. Discussing Pitman, who was an ever-present during the League Two campaign, Bond said: He is a really good lad. I know him he is a good lad and has got a good personality. He is a terrific goalscorer. He scored goals last season and I think he will score goals again next season. I think him staying fit with Eddie not being able to bring in players to the football club was a major factor behind them winning as many games as they did. At the other end of the field, Jalal's consistent performances ensured Cherries' defence remained formidable throughout the campaign. Bond added: From what I've seen, I also believe the goalkeeper has done particularly well for the club. I'm glad to see he's playing as well as he was always capable of playing. Under me and certainly under Eddie, I think he has done particularly well. That's another key position and I don't think there would have been a better goalkeeper in the division.
