Blues signings unlikely - Metcalf

The former England defender has said that his position at the Deva Stadium could be "untenable" if he was not allowed to add to his squad. "I wouldn't rule it out completely but the likelihood is the manager will have to make the best use of the squad he's got," Metcalf told the Chester Evening Leader. "There is a good crop of young players here. I think they need some inspiration and motivation. "I think the current squad will take it to the end of the season and it's important for everyone to believe that the club will stay in the league."
