Toon Will Still Get £4m For Milner Transfer

Although much has been said about the fact Newcastle will not be due a sell-on fee if James Milner completes a multi-million pound move to Manchester City . . the Magpies will receive the final £4m installment of Milner's £12m transfer fee from Aston Villa. Milner is due to meet Aston Villa officials on Tuesday. Villa turned down City’s £20m bid for the midfielder last week, but City are expected to return with an improved offer, and Milner is thought to be very interested in a move to the 'Money-Bags of Premiership Football'. If Toon fans want a scapegoat for who bungled the Milner transfer . it happens to be former executive director Dennis Wise . who was involved in the negotiating process with Villa. Villa have already paid two £4m installments of Milner’s transfer fee, and Newcastle will be due a final payment of a further £4m soon.
