HATCHET MAN: Redknapp in U-turn sensation: Gomes is a good keeper after all

The fair play award of the week has to go to Harry Redknapp for admitting he was wrong about Heurelho Gomes. The Tottenham manager was not the only one to underestimate Spurs' Brazilian   goalkeeper (Hatchet Man was in good company there!) but he has not given up on   him.Gomes is still prone to blunders and cannot be confident to have held off the   challenge of Carlo Cudicini yet but he is earning the chance. What a save: Gomes earns more praiseRedknapp said: 'I'd be a liar if I told you I expected him to be performing like that when I first arrived here. I was worried about him, but now he's playing terrifically well.' Next week's unlikely U-turn: Harry admits Mrs Redknapp couldn't have scored  the chance Darren Bent missed against Portsmouth in January.   More from Hatchet Man. HATCHET MAN: Friedel's red card at Anfield showed a referee at his officious worst 23/03/09 HATCHET MAN: It's difficult to work who will go down first: Newcastle United or cumbersome thug Taylor23/03/09 HATCHET MAN: So Robinho has a drugs problem claims Pele, the one-time great who now endorses Viagra23/03/09 HATCHET MAN: The devil in ASBO-seeking Rooney will stop him from ever becoming a great player23/03/09 HATCHET MAN: Anorexic West Ham can't afford anything, least of all to keep on winning20/03/09 HATCHET MAN: Here's Jonny.
