Cherries: Howe tight-lipped on transfer talk

ROOKIE centre-half Mitchell Nelson could end more than 16 months of transfer inactivity by becoming one of Eddie Howe's first permanent signings of the summer. The Tooting and Mitcham central defender claims to have agreed a reported three-year contract at Dean Court as the newly promoted club continue to be linked with a number of potential targets. Howe has made it clear he will not comment on transfer speculation and politely declined to talk about Nelson when contacted by the Echo yesterday. Meanwhile, the latest player to be linked with the club is striker Liam Enver-Marum, who was released by Eastbourne Borough after scoring 16 goals last season. He revealed he had trained with Cherries at the back end of last season.
