Clarets 'lining up' Hulse move

urnley are lining up a bid to sign Derby striker Rob Hulse over the summer, according to reports on Sky Sports News. Hulse joined Derby two years ago from Sheffield United and he scored 12 goals in 37 Championship appearances during the past season. However, his future at Pride Park was the source of much debate throughout the campaign after he turned down a move to Middlesbrough before the close of the summer transfer window. The 30-year-old was subsequently linked with Wolves and now appears to have popped up on the radar of Burnley, who are preparing for life back in the Championship.Clarets boss Brian Laws is keen to put his own stamp on the squad after taking over in January and is weighing up an approach for Hulse. With speculation linking Steven Fletcher with a transfer away from Turf Moor, former Crewe Alexandra youngster Hulse could be perceived as a possible replacement for the Scotland international.
