Brown relishing new campaign

Celtic's Scott Brown cannot wait for the new SPL campaign to start after enduring a season to forget. The Bhoys finished the campaign trophyless, poor form that saw Tony Mowbray sacked in March following a 4-0 defeat to St Mirren.Things got even worse when they were dumped out of the Scottish Cup by Ross County in the semi-finals under caretaker Neil Lennon. However, Celtic's SPL form improved dramatically under Lennon and he remains a strong candidate to replace Mowbray permanently.Brown has conceded it was a season to forget and that everyone at the club is determined to turn things around. The 24-year-old midfielder insists his team-mates are as determined as ever to win silverware next term and right the wrongs of this season."We have taken our criticism and we have had to take it so now we move on from that," he told the club's official website."It wasn't the best season in the world and everyone knows that as we let the fans down and let ourselves down. "We managed to win eight games in a row at the end of the season and we want to kick on from that into next season. "I would rather the new season was starting tomorrow. I wish we could have continued playing as I don't want a summer thinking of this season. "We want to get started again and the results at the end of the season have heightened our expectations. "Our determination to bring back success is doubled and some of the boys who were new to the club now know the situation. "You cannot get beaten when you are a Celtic player. It just can't happen and we have to bring some silverware back next season."
