Cherries: Defender claims to have joined Howe's men

TOOTING and Mitcham defender Mitchell Nelson has claimed he has joined Cherries. The centre-half has reported that he has penned a three-year deal at Dean Court after being spotted by Cherries in recent trial games for Reading and Crystal Palace. Speaking to the Tooting Guardian, the 20-year-old former Colchester trainee said: It feels great. Last year at Tooting I really missed not training and being around football every day. To go to a team that have just gone up to League One is a dream. It is all really exciting. I think Reading and Palace were both looking at giving me deals but Bournemouth contacted me and said they could offer me something better." The Echo is in the process of contacting Cherries boss Eddie Howe to confirm whether the deal has been finalised.
