Alex Iwobi and Kelechi Iheanacho on target as Nigeria edge Zambia

Goals from Alex Iwobi and Kelechi Iheanacho helped Nigeria kick off their World Cup qualifying campaign with a 2-1 win over Zambia in Ndola.Arsenal striker Iwobi opened the scoring just past the half-hour mark and Iheanacho made it two shortly before half-time for the home side.Nigeria were denied a third when John Obi Mikel saw his shot well saved by Kennedy Mweene, before Zambia reduced the deficit through Collins Mbesuma.The result proved enough to send Nigeria to the top of Group B after fellow heavyweights Algeria and Cameroon battled out a 1-1 draw in Blida.El-Arbi Soudani picked up a pass from Leicester striker Islam Slimani to give the home side the lead with just seven minutes on the clock.But Benjamin Moukandjo equalised for Cameroon on 24 minutes and a brilliant save by Fabrice Ondoa to deny Adlene Guedioura ensured the Indomitable Lions would hold on for a point.In Group E, Egypt came from behind to beat Congo 2-1 in Brazzaville.A 24th-minute header from Ferebory Dore gave the hosts the lead but Roma midfielder Mohamed Salah equalised shortly before half-time, before setting up a second-half winner for Abdalla El Said.Tunisia began their Group A campaign with a 2-0 win over Guinea in Monastir with second-half goals from Aymen Abdennour and Anis Ben-Hatira.
