Kightly: Wolves have work to do

Although the Black Country side currently lead the the way, Birmingham and Reading, plus a host of other promotion contenders, are hot on their heels and chasing hard for an automatic promotion place. Stoke secured second spot last season with 79 points while Birmingham (86), Sheffield United (90), Wigan (87) and West Brom (86) all took the honours respectively in the previous campaigns. Mick McCarthy's men currently have 74, which suggests there is still a long way to go in this season's race. "We can't afford to relax for a second," Kightly told the club's official website. "Reading still have a game in hand and Cardiff have three, and they look pretty strong, and Birmingham are on a good run again. "We're not getting carried away and we know there's a long way to go. There's a lot of football and a lot of points to play for."
