Karl-Heinz Rummenigge doubts Bayern approach for Leroy Sane

Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has distanced his club from making an approach for Schalke's coveted winger Leroy Sane.Sane is reported to be a target of Manchester City, but Bayern had also been linked with a bid for the Germany international. However, Rummenigge does not expect the 20-year-old to join the Bavarians, highlighting two reasons why."I think it is always important that young players get the chance to play regularly, and I don't know if we could offer him that," Rummenigge told Germany's ZDF television."Furthermore, we would be accused once again of taking players away from other German clubs and maybe he wouldn't even be playing."City coach Pep Guardiola confirmed on Wednesday that he is interested in signing Sane, although he said the two clubs are currently far apart in their respective valuations, with Schalke reportedly seeking £45million. Wherever Sane ends up next season, Rummenigge believes the player - who was a regular for Schalke last season - has a big career decision to make. Rummenigge said: "A young player has got to make his mind up whether he wants to plan his career from a sporting or a financial viewpoint."
