Cumbrians spirit impresses Abbott

Joe Anyinsah put the Cumbrians in front after 19 minutes, but striker Paul Hayes denied them all three points with a 69th minute equaliser that leaves Abbott's men seven points above the relegation places.Abbott said: "There was some determination and players threw themselves into tackles and blocks showing spirit and endeavour."It was a typical League One game in horrible conditions. We didn't play crystal football but we matched them toe to toe."For the first time in a while, we had a bit of luck in front of goal and at the other end. We'll take that because we have had enough bad luck."We are a point further away from the bottom and the quicker we get those points the quicker we can relax."
