Kamara relishing Novo showdown

Diomansy Kamara has stoked up Tuesday's final Old Firm derby of the season by revealing he plans to use the game to shut Nacho Novo up. Rangers forward Novo reacted to securing a second successive Scottish Premier League title by accusing the Hoops of blaming "everyone but themselves" for one of their most miserable seasons in recent memory. He also blasted ousted Celtic boss Tony Mowbray for his criticism of Ibrox counterpart Walter Smith's tactics, which the former claimed were negative.Kamara, who was brought to Parkhead from Fulham on a loan deal by Mowbray - his former manager at West Brom - claimed Novo was mouthing off because he was desperate to extend his Rangers contract, which expires this summer.Kamara said: "It is not good to talk like that. Rangers deserve to be champions this year but it is always nice to be gracious."Novo is not playing, he is always on the bench, so maybe he is speaking like this because he wants a new contract."Rangers are a strong team who have only lost two league games this season. "We haven't beaten them yet but Tuesday is a big chance to prove ourselves. An 11-point gap between Rangers and Celtic is too much and we want to close that."We also want to show a reaction to Novo and maybe then he can be quiet. We will see what happens."Kamara also claimed he would like to make his loan move permanent and has no regrets at missing Fulham's remarkable march to the Europa League final.Meanwhile, interim Celtic manager Neil Lennon admits Tuesday's SPL game will effectively be a 90-minute job interview. He said: "Old Firm games define you and everybody is looking into this one," he said ahead of his first derby in charge."I think it is a bit unfair really, to say that if I win the game I get the job and if I don't I will not get the job."I think I should be judged over the piece really, not just over one game. But that is the situation I am in, and I accept that."
