Pools defender fears O'Donovan exit

Hartlepool United defender Neil Austin admits the club will be lucky to keep on-loan striker Roy O'Donovan at Victoria Park. The Irish forward has scored nine goals in 13 games since arriving on loan from Sunderland and has played a crucial role in helping Pools pull away from the League One relegation zone. However, Austin is aware that O'Donovan's form has attracted the attentions of several Championship clubs and Hartlepool will be powerless to stop him should he wish to leave for pastures new."He's been magic for us, hasn't he? Nine goals in 13 is fantastic at any level," Austin told the Sunderland Echo."If we could keep him here for next year it would be a massive boost. But obviously there's going to be clubs looking at him."I think our other Irish boys are trying to get into his ribs. But it's Roy's decision at the end of the day."
