Roman denies homesick claims
Roman Pavlyuchenko has dismissed claims that his time with Tottenham is making him homesick, insisting he is intent on winning trophies in England. The Russian marksman joined Spurs from Spartak Moscow in a £14 million summer move, but there has been much speculation that the 27-year-old striker has struggled to adapt to life in England's capital city.Pavlyuchenko's distaste to English cuisine has become common knowledge, but recent reports suggested that former Spartak forward's plight was so bad that he has been considering a move back to his homeland.But Pavlyuchenko has hit out at rumours he is not happy at White Hart Lane telling The Daily Star Sunday: "I want to make it clear I am happy with Spurs and I want to win things here."I have never said otherwise. London already feels like home."I am pleased because this is the strongest league in the world and Spurs are one of the biggest clubs in England. This is what every footballer dreams about."Pavlyuchenko has so far scored 13 goals in a Spurs shirt - including nine in domestic cup competitions - and the Russian international feels this record proves he can be top marksman in the Premier League."I have got to grips with the style of English football," he added.
