Nine million tweets were sent regarding Saturday's Champions League final, peaking at 167,000 per minute when Cristiano Ronaldo scored the decisive shoot-out penalty to win it for Real Madrid.Official data from Twitter also showed that Ronaldo was the most tweeted about player, followed by Portuguese compatriot Pepe who was ticked off by English referee Mark Clattenburg for his play-acting.Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco, who celebrated his equaliser for Atletico Madrid by racing to the edge of the stands to kiss his girlfriend, was the only person not linked to Real to make it into the top five most tweeted-about personalities from the match, and that single incident sparked 77,000 tweets per minute.Real skipper Sergio Ramos and coach Zinedine Zidane were the third and fourth most tweeted-about individuals in the final.The end of extra-time prompted 84,000 tweets per minute, Ramos' opening goal 80,000 and Juanfran's shoot-out miss 73,000.The most retweeted tweet on the night was the one from Real's official account declaring they were champions, with 51,110 Twitter uses opting to retweet it to their own followers.
