Hart admits slight disappointment

Portsmouth boss Paul Hart admits his side were disappointed not to take victory at Middlesbrough. Pompey looked on course for three points as Peter Crouch volleyed the visitors ahead on the half-hour.But in injury time Marlon King struck to deny Portsmouth all three points. "I think there is an element of disappointment, but I have to give the players credit - you saw today the desire. I just thought it was immense and on any other day we might have got the three points," Hart told Sky Sports."We have set our stall out to stay in this division and whoever plays us is going to find it difficult, but we have had chances in every game."People are going to be bobbing in and out [of the bottom three], and I just want to make sure my players are in the right frame of mind and doing what is necessary."Sometimes in desperation to get a result you just try to hang on. We have shown our desire and our determination to stay in this division."I could quite easily have pushed somebody on. I could have opened up the game, so on that score I don't think you can blame the players but we decided to shore up and try to get a result."If you look at most of the game we had coped with everything and some of our performances were tremendous."Hart was happy for Peter Crouch to grab his first goal of 2009."I think this could be very important for Peter. I have been delighted with his performances, he's thoroughly deserved that goal and he took it brilliantly," he said.
