Wright-Phillips has no regrets

Shaun Wright-Phillips insists an ill-fated spell at Chelsea was the right move for him at the time. The England international joined the Blues for £21million from Manchester City in the summer of 2005.Having shone at Eastlands, much was expected of the diminutive winger upon his arrival in the capital.However, three frustrating seasons followed as he struggled to establish himself as a first-team regular at Stamford Bridge.Eventually, enough was enough and Wright-Phillips rejoined City over the summer in an effort to reinvigorate his career.He admits he is delighted to be back in Manchester, but claims to have no regrets at trying his luck at Chelsea.Tools"I just think playing regularly is the key," said the 27-year-old."I just thought, 'I'm coming back home and I have to get back to where I started'. That's what I'm trying to do."With the players I'm playing with and the culture of the manager (Mark Hughes), everything else will take care of itself."I have no regrets whatsoever. It was all a learning curve and it made me a better player. Now I can just improve again."I was given a chance, I took the chance and I learned a lot and now I'm using the tools."
