Anderson back in Brazil fold

Manchester United midfielder Anderson has expressed his delight at being recalled to the Brazil national team. The 20-year-old midfielder missed Brazil's showpiece friendly with Italy in February due to an ankle injury, but has been selected for the nation's upcoming World Cup qualifiers with Ecuador and Peru."I would have loved to be a part of the lovely performance Brazil gave against Italy but I couldn't," said the former Porto star, who has only just returned from a seven week lay-off."The important thing now is that I have recovered and I have the chance to wear the national shirt again."I am very happy to be selected and I will not let either Dunga or the Brazilian people down."Disappointing formBrazil have not enjoyed a particularly successful qualifying campaign so far, trailing group leaders Paraguay by six points.Subsequently, the tough ties with their South American neighbours have taken on even more importance as Brazil look to avoid the unthinkable - failure to qualify for the World Cup finals."Beating Ecuador in Quito will be a challenge, but Brazil should always be able to clinch the three points," Anderson added."If we also do our best and beat Peru at home, then we'll have a comfortable position in the standings."
