Magpies handed Beye boost

Newcastle have been handed a 'huge boost' with the news that fans' favourite Habib Beye is back in full training. The Senegalese defender has been out of action since Boxing Day after suffering ankle ligament damage in a challenge with Wigan midfielder Lee Cattermole.It was initially feared that the injury could cause him to miss much of the season but the 31-year-old has been working hard to return.He set himself a target of returning for the Arsenal game on 21st March and he has now taken a big step to achieving his aim.Caretaker boss Chris Hughton told the club's official website: "Habib is back in full training which is a huge boost."He's not only a good player but he's also a very good character around the place who is extremely popular."We will need people like Habib this season and we're delighted to have him back."
