Wycombe seal Stech deal

Wycombe Wanderers have signed West Ham United goalkeeper Marek Stech on loan for the rest of the season. Stech has joined the League Two club after Scott Shearer was ruled out until next term due to an ankle problem. The Czech Republic teenager has yet to make a first-team appearance for West Ham, but is highly regarded at Upton Park.Wycombe boss Peter Taylor is happy with the deal and expects Stech to provide competition for current first-choice keeper Jamie Young."I've brought Marek in due to the injury to Scott Shearer," Taylor told the club's official website. "He will fill a space and I always wanted to have three goalkeepers at the club."I felt it was the right thing for the club to go and get the best one I could get and he will offer great competition."I haven't signed him to be No.2, but to push for the No.1 jersey. I would like to thank West Ham for letting one of the best young keepers around join us."
