Distin only looking up

Sylvain Distin admits he is trying not to think about Portsmouth going down. The Pompey stopper insists that, although being relegated is a worry, he insists the club have enough quality to beat the drop.Distin and Portsmouth face Middlesbrough on Saturday in a crucial Premier League clash, with both sides currently sat in the bottom three."Right now it would not be professional for me to think what if we went down, what am I going to do? Am I going to stay?" he told Sky Sports News. "Of course it is in the back of my head, but I don't want to think about it as we have enough quality to stay up."Distin revealed that under Tony Adams he struggled at times, but now under Paul Hart's regime he is again finding his form."Mentally I have been affected more than I thought, I haven't been focused and my mind hasn't been there," he said."I knew what the problem was and I just had to react as quickly as possible, am I back to my best? I don't know, I just have to do my best and that is the minimum I can do."Hart himself insisted that Distin is back to his best, saying: "He has got back to basics and he looks awesome at the moment."He is a great leader on the pitch and I am delighted to see him back on song."
