Carroll signs Magpies deal

Newcastle starlet Andy Carroll has signed a new three-and-half-year contract, his agent has confirmed to skysports.com. The 20-year-old striker has broken into the first-team picture this season and has produced a number of excellent displays, including his first two Premier League goals.After lengthy negotiations, Carroll has now sealed a new deal which will tie him to St James' Park until 2013.Carroll's agent Peter Harrison confirmed that he deal was completed.Delighted"He is delighted to have committed his future to Newcastle United," he told skysports.com."He signed on Monday, and it is great for him to get it out of the way so he can now concentrate on his football."He is a local lad and Newcastle was the only place he wanted to be, and it is a great deal for him."The fans have taken to him and I am sure he will become a huge favourite in years to come."Carroll celebrated his new deal with a call-up to the England Under-20 squad for their match with Italy at the end of this month.
