Newcastle V AFC Bournemouth - view commentary, squad, and statistics of the game live.Steve McClaren looks for results to end speculation over his Newcastle futureUnder-pressure Newcastle head coach Steve McClaren admits only winning football matches will end the speculation over his future.Former England boss McClaren has found himself in the headlines for the wrong reasons with his side 19th in the Barclays Premier League ahead of Saturday's home clash with Bournemouth, despite having spent in excess of B#82million on the squad since the end of the last campaign. The Magpies could slip further into the mire this weekend if they fail to beat the Cherries, but having spoken to managing director Lee Charnley this week, McClaren insists everyone at the club is pulling in the same direction.McClaren said: "It is football. It is a results business. I know that, everybody knows that, and we need results. We need to make sure we are in the league next season."We need to get over the disappointment of [the 1-0 defeat at Stoke on] Wednesday, but have that same attitude and fight."Bournemouth will be a very tough game. We need 52,000 people right behind us, which, I have got to say, has been there all season. We have got to make sure we match that support with our performance."McClaren his increasingly found himself a target for disgruntled fans who have bristled at his positivity even in defeat, but he remains upbeat in public at least. He is confident his methods will work, but with time running out this season, acknowledges that the players have to buy into them too.He said: "I'm experienced and we know what is right and we know what is wrong. We know what work to do and what not to do."Generally, we have been successful wherever we are when players want that ambition and want to be as successful as that. We suffer when players don't want to reach those standards and put the work in to reach that."We always set standards. We always have a culture and environment which we know can produce success. We talk about a lot of changes and adapting to that. It is taking longer than we thought."McClaren will not have skipper Fabricio Coloccini or fellow central defender Chancel Mbemba at his disposal against Bournemouth, while B#12million January signing Andros Townsend will be assessed after missing the game at the Britannia Stadium with a hamstring strain.Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has warned his players they will quickly find themselves dragged back into the scrap for survival if they fail to take care of business over the final 10 games. The Cherries moved onto 32 points following the midweek home win against Southampton, putting them eight clear of Sunderland, Norwich and Newcastle, with Aston Villa cast adrift at the foot of the table. However, Howe knows that cushion could swiftly be wiped out should they fail to produce the required performances in key matches ahead."When you win naturally there is that little bounce and good feeling, the important thing, though, is we look forward and don't just rest with that," Howe said at a press conference."The message from me is very much for more and keep the past two performances in the forefront of our minds, because I thought we have been excellent, even though we did not win at Watford."An eight-point cushion is not enough because we are well aware that fortunes can change."Last week it was four points and now it is eight, but it can change the other way very quickly if you don't perform yourself, so we need to take care of our business."I am not concerned with other results, it really doesn't matter because you can't control it, so why waste emotion and energy getting wrapped up with other teams? Just focus on your own team and making sure we are as best prepared as we can be."
