Tottenham eye deal for Espanyol playmaker Javi Marquez

Wanted: Javi Marquez (left) in action for Espanyol Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is in the hunt for Espanyol playmaker Javi Marquez, according to Spanish newspaper AS.White Hart Lane officials are set to visit Spain next week to negotiate a deal to bring the diminutive star to north London, the paper claims.  Marquez, who can play centrally, out wide or just behind the front men, is one of Espanyol's most important players but his season was ended prematurely after suffering a broken leg in March.
