Cherries: Howe urges supporters to keep on cheering

BOSS Eddie Howe praised Cherries' loyal travelling support and then explained the part they could play in the promotion mis¬sion. A Cherries victory at Burton Albion tomorrow - or the failure of rivals Rotherham and Bury to get maximum points themselves - would seal automatic elevation to the third tier. And the Dean Court outfit will not be short of backing in East Staffordshire. They are set to be roared on by a large travelling support at the Pirelli Stadium, with an increased allocation of 1,800 set to be taken up by visiting fans. Howe said: "The away support has been magnificent this year. "It's such a northern league and the travelling has been, at times, bad for us, let alone for the sup¬porters. "They've stuck with us and we've had good numbers at all the grounds. I know we will get good support tomorrow and we're real¬ly thankful for that. "I think it's a positive thing and I don't think it adds pressure. We've had big crowds and good crowds at home this season and the lads have thrived under that pressure. "To have so many supporters travelling all that way will, hope¬fully, give the lads confidence, knowing they're right with us and cheering us on to, hopefully, getting a good result." Despite a place in League One being tantalisingly close with three games remaining, Howe insisted it would be business as usual as his team looked to com¬plete the job. "The lads have trained well and they have been focused," he said. "I have been pleased with everyone's attitude. There hasn't been anything different, so in that respect I'm pleased. "We're certainly not think¬ing about anything else, other than the game. Whatever hap¬pens, will happen. It's about the game and that's it." And he is expecting Burton to provide a stern test. Howe added: "They've had a really good season and have consolidated. "I think they will be pleased with how their season has gone. "It's going to be a tough game. I don't think anyone has had an easy game at their place, so that should make for a good game. "We're not underestimating them, as we don't do with anyone else. "But we're in a good run of form and have won four out of the past six, which is a really good return. So we are going to go into the game with confidence, like we have all the others." Long-term absentee Mark Molesley is the only player certain to miss out through injury.
