Steve Bruce weighting up John Mensah deal.

Should he stay or should he go. Steve Bruce will begin talks with John Mensah’s agent this week, as the Black cats boss ponders towards offering on loan defender a full contract. The Ghana International has been excellent when playing for Sunderland, but the major issue in the contract talks are down to the players injury problems, which have kept him out of several Sunderland matches this season.  Bruce said, “John Mensah’s agent is flying over next week and we are desperate to do some sort of deal, however it will be very difficult for me to buy him because of his ongoing problems.” “We will weigh it up, I’ll speak to Niall and Steve.” “If we can get him on the same sort of deal,  a loan for a year, I’ll do that just to have him in the building because we all know what a good player he is. “The problems he’s got are horrific.”
